- 1 1/2 c. corn syrup
- 1 1/2 c. pecan halves
- 1 unbaked pie shell
- 3 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- dash of salt
- 1/4 c. sugar
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375°.

2Combine syrup, butter and sugar in saucepan.

3Bring to a boil and boil gently for 5 minutes, uncovered.

4Stir occasionally.

5Cool slightly and layer pecans in pie shell.

6Mix eggs, vanilla and salt in bowl.

7Gradually stir in syrup mixture and pour over pecans in pie shell.

8Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until inserted knife comes out clean.

9Cool on wire rack.
