- 1 1/4 c. unsweetened cocoa
- 1 1/4 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 sticks unsalted butter
- 3 c. sugar
- 6 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 lb. pecan pieces
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Lightly grease 9 x 13 x 2-inch metal pan.

3Line with parchment paper.

4In bowl, sift together cocoa and flour.

5In large saucepan, melt butter over low heat.

6Remove from heat.

7Stir in sugar.

8Add eggs, 2 at a time.

9Stir in vanilla. Add to cocoa and flour.

10Beat until evenly distributed.

11Add nuts. Bake 50 minutes.

12Brownies will be slightly moist.

13Let cool in pan.

14Invert pan.

15Turn right side up.

16Cut into bars.
