- 5 lb. chuck roast (with bone) or 6 lb. chuck roast (without bone)
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. tomato juice
Directions

1Place meat in a 2 1/2-quart baking dish.

2Season with salt and pepper.

3Pour the tomato juice over top and add water to barely cover beef.

4Cover and bake at 350° for approximately 3 hours. Use the juice of baked beef and thicken for a gravy.
