- 3 pounds Chestnuts
- 1 dash Sea Salt
Directions

1Preheat oven to 425 F. Wash the chestnuts and, with a sharp knife, make an X cut on each one of them (that will make it easy to cook and prevents the chestnuts from exploding in the oven).

2Spread them evenly in a baking sheet with the cut side facing up and sprinkle salt on them.

3Place in the oven in the middle rack and roast for about 35 minutes, shaking the pan once in a while to rotate them so they cook evenly.

4Peel the chestnuts as soon as possible (but watch your fingers!)

5because after cooling down completely they are difficult to peel.

6Plus, they taste better warm.

7Pair them with your favorite red wine.
