- 3 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 1 c. water
- 1 tsp. Lorann flavoring (different flavors available)
- powdered sugar (optional)
- food coloring (optional)
Directions

1Mix first 3 ingredients in a large heavy saucepan.

2Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves.

3Boil, without stirring, until temperature reaches 310° or until drops of syrup form hard brittle threads in cold water.

4(Candy thermometer recommended.)

5Remove from heat.

6When boiling stops, add flavoring and food coloring.
