- 2 c. sugar
- 2/3 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 c. water
- food coloring
- 1 tsp. vanilla, 1 1/2 tsp. peppermint extract, 1/2 tsp. almond extract or few drops oil of cinnamon
Directions

1Stir sugar, corn syrup and water over low heat until dissolved.

2Cook without stirring over high heat to the hard crack stage, 310°.

3Remove mixture from heat; add coloring and flavor. Pour mixture onto greased cookie sheet.

4When cold, break into pieces.
