  • 2 cups flour
  • 4 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 6 tablespoons softened butter (room temperature)
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 14 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 12 cup favorite dried fruit (larger pieces should be choppped)
  • 23 cup milk (soy milk works nicely)
  • 1 egg

    Heat oven to 400 degrees F and grease a baking sheet.

    Sift the dry ingredients into a bowl.

    Add margarine, rub in until like fine bread crumbs.

    Add beaten egg and milk to form a stiff dough.

    Spoon onto cookie sheet.
