Ingredients

  • 1/2 medium red pepper, diced
  • 1 medium yellow pepper, diced
  • 1/2 lb. tomatillos, boiled until soft, then crushed
  • 10 oz. diced tomatoes and green chilies (fresh or canned)
  • 2 (14 1/2 oz.) cans tomato wedges, halved
  • 10 cloves garlic, crushed or chopped
  • 1 large Vidalia, diced
  • 1 medium leek, chopped
  • 1 dried red chili pepper, diced
  • 1/4 c. vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp. sliced jalapeno peppers
  • 1 Tbsp. blackstrap molasses
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 5 hot banana peppers, diced
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
