- 1-3/4 cup flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 cup soft butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1-1/2 cup quick oats (cooks in 1 minute)
Directions

1Sift flour with baking powder and salt.

2Cream butter and gradually add sugars, vanilla and oats.

3Add sifted mixture to make a stiff dough.

4Turn onto floured board and knead dough lightly to blend thoroughly.

5Pat or roll into 9x12-inch rectangle and cut into 1-1/2-inch squares.

6Bake at 350F for about 20-25 minutes until golden.
