Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1/4 c. warm water
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 pkg. White Lily baking powder biscuit mix
  • 2 Tbsp. lard
  • 1 c. cold water
  • 1 egg
  • plain flour

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in warm water with 1 tablespoon of the sugar added.

    Let set 5 minutes.

    Then add remaining ingredients.

    Add enough plain flour to make a thin dough or batter.

    Place in refrigerator overnight or for a few hours before making into rolls.

    Then make into rolls, dip in oil or melted butter.

    Let rise 1 or 2 hours.

    Bake at 400° to 450° for 12 to 15 minutes.
