- 4 Tbsp. butter or oleo
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. hot water
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 c. warm water
- 2 pkg. yeast
- about 5 c. flour
Directions

1Melt butter, sugar and salt in hot water.

2Add beaten egg. Melt yeast in warm water and add flour, 1 cup at a time, until a stiff dough is achieved.

3Dump onto floured pastry cloth or board. Knead until elastic.

4Put in bowl with little oil, turn to coat. Cover, let rise until doubled in size.

5Knead to get air out. Make out into rolls.

6Place on greased pans, brush with melted butter.

7Let rise until doubled in size.

8Bake at 450° until golden brown.
