- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 1 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 c. milk, scalded
- 8 c. plain flour, sifted
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1/2 c. tepid water
- 2 eggs, beaten
Directions

1Place sugar, Crisco, and salt in a large bowl. Pour scalded milk over this and let cool.

2Then add 4 c. flour and mix well. Dissolve yeast in tepid water and add to flour mixture.

3Add remaining flour.

4Cover with greased waxed paper. Let rise until doubled (1 1/2 to 2 hours).

5Pour dough onto floured board.

6Roll out.

7Cut. Dip in melted butter.

8Place in pans to rise, about 1 hour.

9Bake at 375° for 20 to 25 minutes.

10Makes approximately 30 rolls depending on size.
