- 1 c. lukewarm water
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- not quite 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1/2 c. shortening, melted
Directions

1Mix flour, yeast, salt and sugar, then add lukewarm water and cooled shortening (be sure shortening is cool).

2Keep adding flour to right consistency.

3Knead a few times until elastic.

4Then roll out on floured surface and cut with biscuit cutter.

5Let rise about 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

6Cook at 400°.

7Makes about 15 rolls.
