Ingredients

  • 1 c. scalded milk
  • 3/4 c. shortening
  • 1 c. cold water
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1-1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cakes or 2 Tbsp. yeast
  • 1/2 c. warm water

Directions

    Mix scalded milk and shortening together until melted. Dissolve yeast in warm water.

    Mix all ingredients together adding enough flour until thick.

    Knead until bread texture (10 minutes). Refrigerate overnight.

    Roll into balls and let raise until doubled.

    Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
