- 3/4 c. scalded milk
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 3/4 c. warm water
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 4 1/2 c. flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in 3/4 cup warm water. Add sugar. Scald milk; add shortening. Cool to lukewarm.

2Add to yeast; add flour. Turn onto floured board; knead until elastic.

3Place in greased bowl; turn over. Rise until double; punch down.

4Make into rolls. Place in greased pan. Lightly oil top; let rise. Bake at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes until brown.
