- 4 c. plain flour, sifted before measuring
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 egg white
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1Beat shortening into sugar and unbeaten egg whites.

2Beat thoroughly, the mix this with yeast mixture.

3Sift flour and salt; stir in gradually into yeast mixture.

4Mix well.

5Put in bowl to rise.

6Do not knead.

7Make in rolls about 1 hour before baking. Will keep several days in refrigerator.
