- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/4 c. hot water
- 1 c. milk
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. plain flour
- 1 egg
Directions

1Mix yeast and hot water.

2Scald milk.

3Add sugar, shortening and salt to milk.

4Cool to lukewarm.

5Add flour and beat well.

6Add egg and yeast water.
-
7Add 1 1/2 cups more flour.

8Mix well.

9Put in greased bowl.

10Turn dough to grease the top.

11Cover and let rise in warm place until double.

12Place on floured board and knead.

13Pinch off rolls and let rise again.

14Bake at 400° for 12 to 15 minutes.
