- 4 egg yolks
- 6 cups milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 12 cup almonds
- rum (you decide how much)
Directions

1Place almonds in saucepan and cover with water.

2Heat to a boil until you can peel the skin off the almonds.

3Peel all the almonds.

4Place the peeled almonds in a blender with 1/3 cup milk.

5Blend well.

6In saucepan, heat the remaining milk with the sugar and the blended almonds.

7Stir constantly with a wooden spoon until starts to foam slightly.

8Remove from heat.

9Beat the egg yolks with the rum, and carefully add them little by little, stirring all the while, into the milk mixture.

10Blend well.

11Let cool and store in a glass bottle.
