- 5 lb. sugar
- 1/2 yeast cake or powdered yeast
- 1 qt. warm water
- 1 bottle root beer extract
Directions

1Pour sugar in large, clean container.

2Pour extract over sugar.

3Crumble yeast into 8 ounces of warm water (comfortable to inside of wrist).

4Set aside for 5 minutes.

5Fill container half full with water to dissolve sugar.

6Add root beer extract and yeast mixture; stir very good.

7Add additional water to container. Fill clean quart bottles 1 inch from top.

8Cap tightly.
