- 1-1/2 teaspoon Active Dry Yeast
- 1 cup Warm Water
- 1-1/2 teaspoon White Sugar
- 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1-1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 teaspoons Italian Seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoons Ground Black Pepper
- 1 Tablespoon Dried Rosemary
- 2-1/2 cups Bread Flour
- Olive Oil Or Melted Butter, To Coat The Top Of The Bread
Directions

1Mix yeast and warm water. Add sugar. Cover with a towel and place in a warm, dry place. Let the yeast proof for 10 minutes.

2Add the oil, salt, Italian seasoning, black pepper, rosemary, and flour. When the mixture forms a ball, turn out onto a floured surface. Grease hands with butter/margarine and knead the dough until it is smooth, about 10 minutes.

3Place the dough back into the greased bowl. Cover with a towel and place in a warm, dry place. Let it rise for an hour.

4Punch it down and let it rise for another hour.

5Shape into a ball and put on a greased baking sheet. Or shape into a loaf and put in a greased loaf pan.

6Bake at 375°F for 35 minutes, or until top is golden brown.

7When bread is done, coat the top with olive oil or butter. Sprinkle it with more herbs or salt if desired.
