  • boneless sirloin tip (2 lb.), sliced thin
  • 1 or 2 large onions
  • 1 c. water or wine
  • 3/4 lb. bacon
  • 3/4 c. beef bouillon
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Pound steak 1/4-inch thick.

    Cut in half; season.

    Saute bacon until not quite crisp and chop.

    Dice onion; top each steak piece with bacon and onion and season.

    Roll up and fasten with toothpicks to hold.

    Brown rolls in margarine or canola oil until brown.

    Add bouillon and wine or water just to cover.

    Simmer gently 1 1/2 hours.

    Remove rolls and thicken gravy.
