Ingredients

  • 1 lb. round steak (1/2-inch thick), cut in 4 pieces
  • 2 cloves garlic or 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/3 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. paprika
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 c. cooking oil
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 small can mushrooms, drained (reserve juice)
  • 1/2 c. beef bouillon
  • 1/2 c. sour cream

Directions

    Rub meat with garlic.

    Combine flour, paprika, salt and pepper.

    Pound well into steak.

    Brown in hot oil (you may spray with Pam and omit oil).

    Top with onion and mushrooms.

    Simmer, covered, until tender, 1 1/2 to 2 hours, adding more liquid if needed (using mushroom juice or more bouillon).

    Remove steak. Add sour cream to skillet.

    Serve mixture over steak.
