- 1 qt. milk
- 6 eggs, beaten
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- rum to taste
Directions

1Heat milk; add eggs, sugar, cornstarch and vanilla.

2Cook until thick.

3Be careful to cook on low heat so that custard will not curdle.

4Add rum.

5Serve with cake or bread pudding.

6Rum flavoring may be used instead of rum if desired.

7Sauce may be processed in blender or food processor for a smoother texture.
