- 1 (5 oz.) can whole water chestnuts
- 1/4 c. soy sauce
- 4 to 5 slices bacon
- sugar
Directions

1Drain water chestnuts and marinate in soy sauce several hours. Cut water chestnuts in half if very large.

2Roll in sugar.

3Cut bacon slices in half crosswise and again lengthwise.

4Wrap water chestnuts in bacon slices.

5Secure with a toothpick.

6Bake at 425° until bacon is crisp.

7Turn once.

8Drain on paper towels.

9Makes 16 to 20.

10(May be made day before and refrigerated.

11Before serving, reheat 10 minutes at 350°.
