  • 34 teaspoon salt
  • 1 13 cups buttermilk
  • 34 teaspoon sugar (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon caraway seed (optional)

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350F.

    sift the dry ingredients together 3 times.

    Put all the dry ingredients together in a bowl.

    Make a well in the middle and pour in milk.

    Stir together until a dough forms.

    Wrestle into a loaf.

    Place on pan that has been lined with baking paper.

    Cut a 1/4 inch deep cross in the top.

    Bake for 45 minutes.
