- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. butter, softened
- 2 tsp. rum or brandy extract
- 1/2 c. raisins
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
- 1 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. milk
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 c. cut up candied cherries
Directions

1Remove 2 tablespoons flour and mix with fruit and nuts. Combine remaining flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a large mixing bowl.

2Stir well to blend.

3Add butter, milk and extract. Blend on low to mix, then 2 minutes on medium speed.

4Add eggs and beat 2 minutes.

5Stir in floured fruit and nut mixture.

6Turn batter into greased and floured Bundt pan or tube pan.

7Bake at 350° for 55 to 60 minutes.

8Frost with glaze or icing sugar.
