  • 2 lb. ground beef or deer
  • 1/4 tsp. mustard seed
  • 1 Tbsp. liquid smoke
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 to 2 Tbsp. Morton Tender Quick salt
  • 1/4 tsp. onion powder
  • 3 tsp. crushed black pepper

    Mix all ingredients together.

    Cover and refrigerate for 24 hours stirring occasionally.

    Makes 2 (12-inch) rolls and wrap in foil.

    Bake at 350° for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.

    Punch holes in bottom of foil rolls and place directly on the oven rack.

    Use an oblong cake pan to catch the drips.
