  • 2 lb. hamburger
  • 2 Tbsp. curing salt (Tender Quick)
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. mustard seed
  • 1 tsp. whole black pepper, crushed
  • 1/4 tsp. cayenne
  • 1 c. water

Directions

    Mix well and form into 2 loaves.

    Wrap in heavy duty foil. Refrigerate for 24 hours.

    Place wrapped loaves in pan of cold water to cover.

    Boil 1 hour.

    Drain on paper towel.

    Wrap and chill.

    May be frozen.
