Salmon Stew

Ingredients

  • 1 (15.5 oz.) can red or pink salmon
  • 1 (14.5 oz.) can whole or chopped tomatoes
  • 2 large peeled, chopped potatoes
  • 2 large peeled, chopped onions
  • 4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 4 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1 large can evaporated milk
  • salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce to taste

Directions

    Place first 4 ingredients in medium sized saucepan and bring to boil.

    Turn heat down and simmer while preparing white sauce. Melt butter in medium frying pan over medium heat.

    Stir in flour to make a paste and brown slightly.

    Slowly stir in evaporated milk and stir constantly until thickened.

    Add seasonings as desired.

    Slowly stir white sauce into salmon mixture and heat through.
