Ingredients

  • 1 c. finely minced, peeled tomato
  • 1/2 c. tomato sauce
  • 1 (4 ounce.) can diced green chili peppers, liquid removed
  • 1/4 c. finely minced onion
  • 1/4 c. finely minced green pepper
  • 1 to 2 tbsp. snipped cilantro or possibly parsley
  • 2 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Directions

    In a mixing bowl combine the above.

    Place about half the mix in a blender or possibly food processor.

    Cover and blend or possibly process till smooth.

    Stir in remaining mix (don't process).

    Cover and refrigerateat least 4 hrs, stirring occasionally.

    Store in refrigerator up to one week.
