  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/4 cup thick and chunky salsa
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes Deli American, cut into quarters
  • 8 slider or dollar-sized buns, split
  • 8 slices Roma tomato
  • 4 Bibb lettuce leaves, halved
  • Jalapeno slices, if desired

Directions

    Heat gas grill on medium or charcoal grill until coals are ash white.

    Combine sour cream and cilantro in bowl.

    Cover; refrigerate until serving time.

    Combine ground beef, salsa, salt and pepper in bowl.

    Shape into 8 small patties.

    Place patties onto grill.

    Grill, turning once, 8-10 minutes or until internal temperature reaches at least 160F and meat is no longer pink in center.

    Top each burger with 2 pieces cheese; let melt slightly.

    Top each bottom half of bun with 1 lettuce leaf half, 1 burger, 1 slice tomato, 2 teaspoons sour cream mixture and top half of bun.
