Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 2 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 tsp. water
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • sifted powdered sugar

Directions

    Cream butter and sugar. Mix in vanilla and water. Add flour and pecans; blend well. Chill until firm (1 to 2 hours).

    Shape into crescents and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 325° about 20 minutes or until edges are pale brown. Cool slightly; roll in powdered sugar while still warm.

    Makes 4 to 5 dozen cookies.
