Ingredients
- 2 qt. red wine (an inexpensive Burgundy will do)
- 1 qt. Seven-Up
- 1/4 qt. rum, Bacardi 151 preferably (any rum may be used; brandy may also be substituted)
- fruit (apple, oranges and lemons; feel free to add your favorite fruit also)
- sugar
Directions

1Mix wine, Seven-Up and orange juice in a large pitcher or bowl. Slice fruit into wedges (1/8's).

2Add fruit to mixture.

3Add sugar to taste.

4If you used a bowl, transfer mixture into 1 or more pitchers.

5Gently pour the rum over the mixture (do not stir). Refrigerate and allow Sangria to sit for several hours (a couple of days, if possible).

6This allows the rum to distribute itself.

7If you can't wait, then add ice, stir and serve.
