  • 12 eggs
  • 3 cans Pet milk
  • 1 gal. homogenized milk
  • 6 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. vanilla
  • black walnuts or crushed pineapple (may add to the custard if wanted)

Directions

    Beat eggs well.

    Add sugar to eggs; continue to beat until sugar and eggs are well blended.

    Heat milk mixture in saucepan over open heat.

    When the milk is warm, pour in egg and sugar mixture.

    Keep heat on low and constantly stir mixture so that it won't stick to bottom of saucepan.

    Cook until thick.

    Add vanilla and freeze in 2-gallon freezer.
