- 2 pints fresh Brussels sprouts
- 1/2 C. chopped onions
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/2 C. milk
- 1 C. sour cream
Directions

1Wash and trim sprouts; cut large ones in half.

2In a saucepan, cook sprouts, covered with a small amount of water for 10 to 15 minutes, until tender.

3Drain.

4Meanwhile, in medium saucepan, cook onion in butter until tender.

5Stir in flour, brown sugar, salt and dry mustard until smooth.

6Gradually stir in milk.

7Cook and stir until mixture thickens and bubbles.

8Blend in sour cream and gently heat with Brussels sprouts added.

9Do not allow the sauce to boil again.
