  • 3/4 lb. beef chuck (boneless)
  • 1 c. dry red wine
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 3 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 peppercorns
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 clove
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. gingersnap crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp. raisins
  • 1 Tbsp. heavy cream
  • pinch of sugar
  • hot drained noodles

Directions

    Place beef in shallow dish.

    In medium saucepan, bring wine, water, lemon juice, onion, peppercorns, bay leaf and clove to a boil.

    Pour over meat; cool.

    Cover and refrigerate for 2 days, turning several times.

    Drain; reserve marinade.

    Pat meat dry.
