- 1 onion (whole)
- 4 c. water
- 4 beef bouillon cubes
- 1/3 c. apple cider vinegar
- 1/3 c. brown sugar, packed
- gingersnap cookies (to thicken gravy)
Directions

1Roll roast in flour and brown with a little oil in Dutch oven (large cooking pot). Add all other ingredients, except gingersnaps, and simmer 3 to 4 hours or all day in crock-pot. Add gingersnaps to thicken gravy. Meat will shred it is so tender.
