  • 2 lb. pork sausage
  • 2 (15 oz.) cans kidney beans, undrained
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 Tbsp. salt
  • 4 c. water
  • 2 (1 lb.) cans whole tomatoes, undrained and chopped
  • 2 or 3 potatoes, cubed
  • 1 large bay leaf
  • 1/2 Tbsp. dried whole thyme
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper

    Brown the sausage, stirring to crumble and drain.
