Sausage Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. pork sausage
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can Carnation or Pet evaporated milk
  • 1/2 c. water from cooked noodles
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. noodles (egg or bow tie)
  • Pepperidge Farm herb stuffing

Directions

    Brown sausage, keeping it finely crumbled.

    Add onion and saute until onions are tender; remove from heat.

    Cook noodles according to package directions; drain, reserving 1/2 cup water. Mix soups, reserved water and milk, beating well, and heat until warm.

    Combine noodles, liquids and sausage and onion mixture; pour into a buttered casserole dish.

    Top with stuffing and bake at 350° for 20 minutes or until it bubbles.

    This recipe freezes well.
