Sausage Dressing

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. bulk sausage
  • 8 c. bread cubes (seasoned or unseasoned)
  • 1 packet chicken bouillon mixed with 1 c. water (I use MBT chicken packets)
  • 1 c. finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 c. chopped parsley flakes
  • 1/4 c. chopped chives
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 sticks butter
  • poultry seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp. mace
  • 1/4 tsp. marjoram
  • 1/4 tsp. sage
  • 1/4 tsp. thyme
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 4 to 6 tart apples (Granny Smith)

Directions

    Brown sausage and mix accordingly.

    I usually add melted butter and water if needs to be more moist.

    If the dressing seems moist and tastes good uncooked, you've done it correctly.

    Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour at 350°.
