Sausage-Ham Dressing

  • 1/2 pkg. Pepperidge Farm bread crumbs
  • 1 1/2 c. French bread crumbs (dry bread out in slow oven; don't brown)
  • 1 1/2 c. corn bread crumbs
  • 1 lb. sausage, cooked with fat drained off
  • 1 c. minced ham
  • 1/2 c. or more finely chopped celery
  • 1 c. chopped green onion
  • 1 minced clove garlic
  • 1/2 c. minced parsley (fresh, instead of flakes)
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Steam vegetables in 1/4 cup Mazola margarine until tender. Mix vegetables with bread crumbs, sausage and ham.

    Moisten thoroughly with turkey stock (or canned broth or cubes).

    Season to taste.

    Bake in moderate (350°) oven for 30 to 45 minutes.

    Can serve with gravy made with stock or broth.
