  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 12 lb of crumbled hot Italian sausage, skin removed
  • 8 ounces sliced mushrooms
  • 1 12 cups arborio rice
  • 12 cup white wine
  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can beef broth
  • 1 (16 ounce) jar marinara sauce
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 14 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 14 shredded fresh basil

Directions

    Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil.

    Add chopped onion , sausage and mushrooms.

    Saute 6 minutes.

    Add Aborio rice; cooke one minute.

    Add white wine and cook 1 minute.

    Add beef broth, 1 jar of marinara sauce, 2 cups of water, peas and salt and pepper.

    Bring to a simmer.

    Cover; bake at 350 for 20 minutes.

    To serve, stir in parmesan cheese and basil.
