Sausage Roll

  • 1 frozen bread loaf, thaw for at least 2 hours
  • 1 lb. pork sausage
  • 1 medium-size onion, chopped
  • 1 medium green pepper, chopped
  • 1 (8 oz.) shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 (3 oz.) pkg. grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

    In skillet, brown sausage and then add onion and green pepper. Continue cooking slowly until onion and green pepper are soft. Drain off grease.

    (I use a colander.) Put in a bowl and add the 2 cheeses.

    Stir well to blend.

    Roll out bread dough and spread on meat filling.

    Roll up as for jelly roll sealing edges.

    Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
