Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1/2 c. lukewarm water
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 egg
  • 3 c. flour
  • 3/4 tsp. salt

Directions

    Stir yeast and 1/2 cup lukewarm water together.

    Set aside. Heat sugar, Crisco and 1/2 cup water.

    Beat egg.

    Add yeast and sugar mixtures to egg.

    Stir in the flour and salt.

    Mix well. Cover and put in refrigerator overnight.

    Three hours before needed, remove from refrigerator and form into rolls.

    Place in a greased pan.

    Cover and let rise in a warm place.

    Bake at 425° for 30 minutes, until golden brown.
