- 3 lb. chuck roast
- 1 Tbsp. cooking oil
- salt
- 1/4 c. wine vinegar
- 1/4 c. catsup
- 1/4 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. dried rosemary
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
Directions

1Brown meat slowly in hot oil; remove from heat.

2Drain. Sprinkle meat with salt.

3Combine vinegar and all remaining ingredients.

4Pour over meat.

5Return to heat.

6Cover tightly. Simmer until tender 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours.

7Remove meat to serving platter.

8Skim off excess fat from juices.

9Spoon over meat.

10Makes 6 to 8 servings.
