- 2 c. chopped onion
- 1 c. butter or margarine
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 1/2 c. parsley flakes
- 1 Tbsp. sage
- 1 tsp. thyme
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 16 oz. dry bread cubes
- 1 egg
- 2 c. chicken broth (or canned broth)
Directions

1Melt butter in pan over medium heat.

2Add onions and cook until tender.

3Add next six ingredients and cook about 5 minutes.

4Put bread into large bowl and toss with the hot mixture.

5Beat egg, add to chicken broth and mix into bread cubes.

6Shape into 2-inch balls and place on buttered cookie sheet.

7Bake uncovered about 20 minutes at 375°.

8Makes about 30 balls.
