  • 1/8 c. vinegar
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. bacon grease
  • 4 c. lettuce, cut up
  • 2 to 3 green onions, diced

Directions

    In bowl, dice onions in center on top of lettuce.

    Set aside. Mix vinegar ingredients in

    saucepan.

    Bring to a rapid boil. Boil 1 minute and immediately pour directly on the onions.

    Then lift and toss lettuce well.
