- 1 lb. scallops
- 1 lb. fresh mushrooms
- 1 c. cream
- 1 oz. dry vermouth
- 2 to 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 stick butter, in 2 even parts
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Melt 1/2 the butter; add flour and make smooth paste.

2Add cream and vermouth and cook until sauce is thick.

3Season. Saute mushrooms in 1/2 the butter for 3 minutes.

4Add scallops and cream sauce.

5Put in casserole and top with buttered bread crumbs. Bake at 400° for 20 to 30 minutes.
