  • 1 small head green cabbage, coarsely cut
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 c. buttered bread crumbs

Directions

    Cook cabbage in water for 10 minutes; drain.

    Melt butter. Add flour to make a smooth paste.

    Add milk; cook until thick. Add salt, pepper and cheese; mix well.

    Place cabbage in buttered baking dish.

    Pour sauce over; top with crumbs.

    Bake at 375° until bubbly and brown, 20 to 30 minutes.
