- 4 lb. head cabbage
- 1 1/2 c. white sauce 1,341
- 2 Tbsp. chopped seeded green pepper
- 2 Tbsp. chopped pimentos
- 6 slices bacon
- 2 Tbsp. bacon fat or butter
- 1/2 c. bread crumbs
- 1 c. or less shredded cheese
Directions

1Shred and prepare by any method for cooked cabbage the cabbage.

2Drain it well.

3Prepare white sauce.

4Prepare pepper and pimentos.

5Saute and mince the bacon.

6Preheat oven to 375°.

7Melt bacon fat or butter.

8Toss lightly in this the bread crumbs. Place layers of drained cabbage in a greased baking dish. Sprinkle with the minced bacon, peppers and the cheese.

9Cover with the cream sauce.

10Top with the bread crumbs.
